They really need to clarify that running out of bounds without the ball rule. Different refs interpret it differently. The “you can’t be the first to touch it” is in reference to if you’re coming back in to get a rebound or loose ball. But if someone is driving at the top of the key and you run back in bounds and establish yourself w both feet before they release the ball to pass...then you weren’t the first person to touch it since coming back in bounds as your teammate was still touching it

I feel so much worse after watching these games. Yes St. Peter’s is better than I thought and it’s somewhat nice to see other teams struggle/lose to them, but the loss is still inexcusable and seeing how bad teams like Kansas and Purdue look, we really had a chance this year and blew it.
