Every sport has it’s GOAT’s — Wayne Gretzky, Tom Brady, Michael Jordan, Barry Sanders, Jerry Rice, Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, etc.

Lebron is joining that group. He’s an old man, sports wise, but somehow leading the NBA in scoring at 37 years old. Next year he will become the all-time scoring leader … surpassing Kareem. I thought that point total was insurmountable. Not only will he become the all time scoring leader, but he will join the top five in assists as well. He’s the only player on that list that isn’t a point guard. It’s crazy.

You'll get tons of Lebron hate in this post.

But Lebron deserves his due, regardless of how someone may feel about his personal beliefs, crying to refs, etc. He's one of the top five players of all time. Not the GOAT, but in the conversation for sure.

It's honestly crazy. From how much hype he had in high school, to have the career he's had and never had a major injury, never been in trouble off the court. The Jordan/Lebron debate is amazing just because it's a real debate. No one ever thought someone who could even sniff Jordan would come along so soon.

Your premise is correct, but it won’t go over well with this crowd.

Regardless of what you think of him off the court, there’s no intelligent way of denying how staggeringly great he’s been on it. And his body seems to be made of a different substance than us normal humans. How someone who’s put the insane mileage on his legs that he has could still be so explosive, without ever suffering a major injury, is unreal.

Brady and LeBron seem to have some weird immunity to the aging process.

Incredible that he can still play at this level at 37. He had a dunk off a break earlier in the week where his head was above the rim. Starting to show his age with some nagging injuries, but he's playing 37 mpg, which is just under his 38 mpg career average.

Great player and talent. His ability/luck to avoid injury is as great as his genetics/talent. It’s allowed him to play at a higher level, longer than his peers. Even though there are several things I like and dislike about him personally, there’s no denying he’s an all-time great.

Lebron is one of the five best basketball players ever who’s had an amazing career.

Lebron is also very ignorant on a lot of things he talks about and does do a bit of race baiting while sucking up to China.

Both are true.
So you’re saying you’re white and he’s black?

China Doll and Brady are both good. but their longevity is based on supplements and rule changes.

Look at the punishment Detroit put on MJ and Pippen in the playoffs. Several interviews said they want Jordan hurt every time he drove. Things like that shorten a career. If China Doll had to go through that, the crying would be incredible.

Same goes for Brady. You can't touch him without him running to an official begging for a flag. If he took the shots and late hits Montana and Marino did, he'd e gone a long while back. Not to mention how safeties used to light up receivers gong over the middle. Welker and Edlemen would have never been viable in the 80s/early 90s.

He ain’t no goat great player but still a b**tch on and off the court. Ain’t better than Kareem who I easily believe is the GOAT 6 Championships 2 finals MVPs & 6 regular season MVPS. Currently 1st in all time points and 3rd in all time rebounds 3 time ncaa champion & national player of the year. Jordan 2nd. Lebron leaves city to city building super teams and has barely 4 titles.

I would take Larry legend my favorite all time player over Lebron any day of the week as well.

I don’t think the debate between him and Jordan will ever really be decided. It will go on forever.imo

What an ignorant thing to say.
Trashing people from eastern Ky and people with blue collar jobs seems to be a thing on this board lately. Goes right along with the liberal superiority complex we see across the country by ignorant people. Most who have probably never been to eastern Ky or anywhere other than their inner city homes. The cities that are full of crime, filth, drugs, and homeless.
But hey let’s degrade people from a geographic region all the while we say that people who don’t like Lebron James are “what’s wrong with this country.”
So stupid you can’t make this stuff up.

Offense is emphasized now just like in the NFL. You are becoming clueless with your age
Offense overall in the NFL hasn’t changed. It’s just shifted from running to passing. Offense overall in basketball hasn’t changed. It’s just added the three point shot. Kareem didn’t shoot threes. Lebron doesn’t rely on threes. What’s your point?
