I haven't seen him play this year. I am just reflecting on what I saw when he was at GA. I hope he does well and plays more disciplined. We'll be lucky to win 8 games this year and will hopefully be replacing Clappy. He's not the guy that's going to bring us to the level we should be with all of the high school talent in GA.

I care more about basketball than football. We just happen to be better at football. I know that's rare for a Georgia fan. We average about 10 posts a week on our Rivals message board. It's really sad. May family is all from Western Kentucky and my wife is from Louisville so I'm definitely a minority. Also, I was born in Bloomington, IN and moved to Valdosta, GA when I was 3 but somehow basketball rubbed off on me. I hope you have a great season. My grandfather lived in Paducah and was a huge Cats fan. Good luck this year. I'm rooting for you to make the SEC proud. Obviously we won't.

Isn’t your coach still Tom Crean? And you were frustrated with a player???
Yes and yes. Crean isn't the answer obviously but I was just happy that we were finally willing to at least try to act like we cared and spend some real money. That at least made me feel like they wanted to invest in the program. We have so much money that we could spend. There are very few universities with the resources that Georgia has. We just need to spend the big bucks on the right guy this time. High school basketball talent in GA is unbelievable. There is no excuse for our lack of success. I think Joe Biden could do a better job than our administration.

He has a hand in most of our points, you can't ask for more from him. He just doesn't have much help right now.

Just gotta say you guys could have done much better than Wheeler as point guard at blue blood Kentucky. I hope he doesn't drive you crazy trying to take it to the basket over bigs like he did at Georgia. Hopefully, he will settle down and realize he's 5'8". Drove me nuts.
He has a team around him now, doesn't feel the need to do it all himself.

I'm not seeing the Wheeler the OP is describing. Maybe because he has a real coach now? I'm very happy we have him so far.
The frustration with Wheeler at Georgia was that he often was out of control driving to the basket and trying to finish over guys a foot taller than him. I can't tell you how many times he threw up wild shots or got his shot blocked. His other weaknesses were defense against bigger guards and terrible percentage on jump shots. You are probably right on the better coaching comment.

Yes it is. LOL. I'm 52 years old and have been a basketball Dawg ever since I can remember. My first recollection of a GA basketball game was when I attended Louisville's basketball Christmas tournament when Daryl Griffith was playing and Georgia won the tournament. I believe that was the last time they held that tournament.

Duke is up 25 without Wheeler. Not sure what you all are watching. Wheeler is our offense.

As good as he was early he was worse later on. He took away most scoring opportunities late in the game with his decision making. I have serious doubts that the good will outweigh the bad in most games.
