- Took the day off. Because.

- Going to see the new Bond at LexLive. Solo moviegoing is under appreciated.

- Remember when Facebook was the cool new thing only accessible to college students? Now that goofnuts Zuckerberg literally wants to make everyone live in the Matrix. What a weirdo.

- Cats by 90.

- Speaking of, BMW dropping after basketball games also? Or is that a football exclusive? I understand that’d be a huge time commitment. I’m appreciative of the content either way.

- Other Cats by 10. Starkville is a tough place to play, but we grind it out.

- People who back in to parking spots ONLY back in to parking spots. There is no mixing it up, they are all in, all the time.

- Have a great Friday and Halloween weekend, gang.

-Park normally everywhere except the Blue lot. Gotta be ready to spring into action when a decent human being let’s you out or somebody slipping gives you a crack of space.

-Trained enough employees to be able to handle the business without me physically there. So back to Navarre Beach Sunday for some sun before the reckoning at the Krog on November 6th.

-Love MLB has to have the World Series in Atlanta. Go Braves!

-Disappointed Kyler finally had the stage against a weaker Packers team and **** the bed.

-UK wins by 1 on a last second FG.

-Never dreamed in a lifetime we would have a chance to be undefeated at home but here we are with just really UT in our way.

Preponderance of F150 and bigger like to back in, take it to a new level by swinging forward, throwing the cars behind them off, then backing in. Complete disregard for their fellow man.

I usually just pull up into the fire lane (or better yet, sit stupidly, right in the middle of the pedestrian cross-walk, causing everyone else major logistical problems), kick on the blinkers, and go about my business.

Just like half of the clueless Scott Co. fvcks do at "The Wal-Mart(s)"
“They’s jest goin in fer a minute.”

Took a few days to conclude that I just have no desire to watch another game in Starkville. Its a terrible stadium, city, campus and the cowbell BS is just not worth tolerating. Even with a short drive i'm not going to do it.

My cousin, a long-time HS soccer coach has won a ton of games/awards but never a state title. He always maintained he wanted to coach until his daughter's HS career was finished- then he would step away. She's a senior this year, and they play in the state finals tomorrow night. He lost his mother to Covid earlier this year, literally a couple of days before vaccines were rolled out- she had never missed a game of theirs so its been a pretty emotional little run they've put together.

I know recruiting in the trenches has been the biggest payoff for the football program, but its tough to beat a potential big time playmaker signing. There is plenty of playing time for anyone that can come in and prove they are even slightly consistent at wide out.

I'm still not convinced Frederick Douglas is a real school though.

Our surrounding streets go all out for Halloween and there are a ton of kids. I think its awesome- one of the best days of the year. Parents block of the streets to through traffic, open bar set up in the road, neighbor does hay rides for the kids. Theres a few houses that go full candy-bar. I think its a status thing, like driving a Range or something- but I respect it.

Shrooms are good for depression. Fact.

Halloween and hallucinogens are a good mix.

Back in ‘91, Gooney Bird blotter acid hit UKs campus on Halloween. I was talking to old ladies who were dressed as devils at a costume party across Waller. Thought I was going to get laid or eaten. Next day, went to UK/UGA game and Jerry Claiborne field was pink, gray and undulating. Laughs. Damaged my brain for sure tho.
Were you a Phi Tau? Know a dude named Scaring?

-park as far away as possible...so as to reduce interactions w/ genpop...and dents. Plus I'm in the store by the time spot hunters have found their destination.

-i dont think I have an overly approachable countenance/demeanor...but damned if foreigners don't *love* asking me questions. Happens regularly. Of course I oblige cause of the great commandment, or whatever.

-i also exit the car like I'm in an action movie(so does youngest) wife and oldest linger for what seems like an eternity getting their crap together...like they're surprised we have to get somewhere. Infuriating.

Pretty much. Lexington has had crappy high school football for too long. Frederick Douglass is putting together a legit program and turning out great college players.

Lexington has not had crappy HS football in terms of very good players. Teams...maybe, outside of the select good years from Lafayette, LCA and Lex Cath (before they got in trouble) but the big city schools have struggled due to the fact they could not "recruit" against the likes of Scott and Woodford.

Enter FD....who since day 1 has been able to get the best of the best in town, regardless of district. You really think these players just magically appeared in their area? Lol...legit...not hardly. 7 losses in 5 years.

The Academies at Douglass and Carter G. Woodson can pretty much bring kids from all over town. Those athletes that don't make it into those programs still find a way to Douglass somehow, as I have seen.

I worked with Lester Diaz for several years. I like the guy personally, but football is/was/and always will be his highest priority. There was no doubt, from the moment he was hired, that they would have a model HS Football program.

He's a huge Miami fan, and look at FDHS' colors. His first act as principal (before there was even a building) was to announce the incoming head football coach.

Everything in that school revolves around the football "program".

I’m failing to see what’s wrong with FD being a fake school that only exists to concentrate Lexington’s best football talent.
Absolutely nothing. As long as they own it.

I mean, let's face it; it's public school. How much actual learning goes on there anyway? Public schools haven't been about "education" for the last 35+ years.

Had a talking-to with the wife on how to and WHERE to park.

it is now understood by her that the right move is to always take an end spot FAR away from every ******* (which is every human) in the lot…whilst glomming onto the edge line of the stall.

Door dings are not acceptable under my roof.
