The things Panera does do well are impossible to screw up. A bagel topped with a boat load of sugar and a whole bucket of cream cheese in the middle? Yeah, I mean of course that’s gonna be at least reasonably yummy. You get zero credit for that.

I was inside a Panera the other day because I couldn’t win a debate with my wife and daughter. Looking around the place at the other men, we all had that same defeated look in our eye. It’s the same look that you exchange with another father across the bar at the end of a day at a Disney theme park. A look of service, duty, exhaustion, and defeat, with a pinch of subdued rage. No words. Just mutual camaraderie through empathy.

I will say the Panera Cool Springs in Franklin, TN is a Milf haven.
the majority of my Panera time was spent working part time at the location on Nicholasville Road. At first it was in the building where an IHOP is now in the shopping center with Kroger. It then moved across the street to its own building.

I had a coworker at my full time job (this was in 2014) ask me if I liked working there. I said "yes because the majority of our customers are college girls that come in wearing yoga pants". She was like "OMG you are so disgusting!".

Then one day she came in and said "I went to the Panera you work at last night. You were right"

and yes I'm almost certainly the poorest person that posts on the Paddock. EAD if you don't like it.

Panera Asiago cheese bagel with cream and chive spread with a large Mt. Dew was the best hangover “breakfast” when I lived near one. Been a few years but I can still remember that bliss.

If you don't go to a local diner for breakfast then you deserve the ****** corporate breakfast you decided on.

Grabbing a newspaper and hitting up a local diner here in Columbus once a week is on the weekly schedule. One of my favorites, when I go for breakfast I bring the average age down by about 20 years. It's serene, the food is great. It's amazing

I would caution anyone with an opinion on that verdict to be aware that what the jury heard and what the news reported are often far different things. Awful case and I am glad I was not on that jury.

I obviously wasn’t there, but digging in and reading more detailed stuff like the LHL tweets I’m thinking the right decision was reached.

Panera, like every other place, was once good but dropped in quality as it expanded. I wish the Atlanta Bread Company was still around.

The one on south Broadway in Lex was my first job when in Lex because I ate there all the time and figured getting a discount would be smart.

But after a few months one Saturday morning I was still awake from the night before and did my best before walking to the back and finding somewhere to pass out.

Also, I would say myself and most others wouldn't turn down a cookie offered from anywhere.

Hey Randall, would you like a cookie? Oh, no thanks. But it's from PANERA!

OH ****! THEN YES

I spent way too much time in my life working for Panera Bread. Yes it is overpriced. The people that think they are getting high quality food would really be shocked at how much frozen crap is used. It also shocked me when I started working there how many people would come in and say they were looking for something healthy. I have no idea what anything they sell is now, but when I started a sierra turkey sandwich had more fat than a big mac. The Italian Combo had 1700 calories (RIP, such a tasty sandwich).

Everything there was made of butter and mayonnaise.

The only time I eat there now is when I get a craving for french onion soup and don't feel like spending the time to make it.
This cat right out of college who works for me spent two years working at Panera in high school. This kid WORSHIPS Panera. He went there today for lunch. He said he'd eat there 7 days a week if he could. His go to is the Mac and Cheese. I'm thinking about firing him.

McAlisters makes delicious cookies. My moms side of the family is obsessed with that place for reasons that escape me, because it’s fine, but the cookies and blondies are 🔥

Who the hell eats a cookie from a deli during a workday lunch? Jesus Christ people, eat your marginal sandwich, soup, and/or salad. Maybe a generous whole pickle, speared. Jalapeño chips from JJ if you’re feeling saucy. But a cookie? That’s avante garde.

There was a time when I really enjoyed Panera's French onion soup. The accompanying piece of bread was perfect for dipping. That was long ago.

Please & Thank You in Richie’s neighborhood makes the best cookie of all time. I don’t know what kind of magic and sorcery they use but gd. GOAT, and it’s not even close. Richie’s hipster friends ftw.

Yeah but have you had the cookies at this place called Panera? New. Deli style sandwiches. Breakfast. It's great!

Vinaigrette is my go-to bougie lunch. Done pretty good cutting out fast food the past few months. Still get my hacienda a few nights a week, tho.

was hoping for blue/white/blue, but the chrome on white is sharp. Much better than anthracite. I low key can’t stand that combo.

If Kentucky somehow upsets UGA they have to jump to number 1 right? Like what is the argument for Iowa? Or Cincinnati? You shitting me? You beat Florida, LSU, and no. 1 Georgia AT Georgia you jump from 11-1. I don’t care if it’s never happened. F*ck you. Sorry. That said I think we lose by 28.

new zbb in the morning. New album has gotten great reviews. Sounds like the boys are getting back to their roots. Cover art is turbo gay, but whatev.

The name Boston dynamics even sounds like something from a terminator movie.

really looking forward to the fall weather and my fleece.

It’s the little things in life:

Tonight the wife and I sat on the pack patio and just let the kids play. 5 hills of dirt and these boys just loved it. Even when the older two tried riding bikes down them somehow my wife managed to cringe and bare it.

In a world where video games or phones dominate everything it sure was great to see dirt entertain the kiddos!
