Pretzel is benching 225, curious how many Gyeromen can’t get that up…I’d guess 60-70%. Solid work Pretz. 💪🏽

I wont even try 225 these days. My left shoulder is junk and I'd definitely require surgery afterward.

It's taken some mental coaching of myself to keep the weights low and the reps high. When I was a gym rat back in the day it was all about mass and maximum weight, which is how about 90% of the people at my gym approach it. Feels silly doing 20lb dumbells but gotta keep focused on the goal.

That wasn't a legit bench press. ;)
And most probably couldn’t do what she did anyway lol. Still impressive.

-Oh and @Wodie Sloot I am not a southern Baptist or whatever domination you asked about. I’m just a guy that goes to church (catholic, Methodist, Baptist, all good with me).

-I’ll be at the gym working on my cakes and quads today myself.

I got you, boss. No worries.

80, not a bad idea as we get older to go lower weight. Had many older bodybuilders tell me about their injuries from going too heavy and how they wished they hadn’t. Good advice for young rogue.

Seems like more than a few are begging for a Qtrly Biz Meeting invite. Table is full but we'll holler when there's an opening.

Pretzel's Instagram feed is an enigma. It's a combo of her crushing heavy lifts to death metal followed up sweet little cat videos. I can't look away!
She's fighting inevitability in regards to gyero future. Time to accept reality that her and bonz are soul mates. Bonz is getting old af, get the show on the road, hussy. Happens every time.

- A steak without sautéed mushrooms is a crime against humanity. Also any time mashed sweet taters is on the menu I'm two fists deep on that dish.

- Only in this thread can I read a white paper caliber report on *** enhancements 😂

- Would welcome more athletes being brutally honest about management and their touch ups as Rodgers was yesterday. Dude's earned a right to have a say in his team. Same folks who ish on that will turn around and complain athletes never say anything.

- Speaking of, never understood how any fan would side with management over an athlete? The talent in any business is how things get done, not some nimrod who simply looks at numbers or TPS reports and thinks they can tell one how to do their job better. Same can be applied for financial sales reps 👀

- The guys who ***** about beards are always the ones who can't grow one or would look like a homeless mutt if they tried. Listening to them is like listening to me try to talk about hair care products.

- 225 is no joke. Props on tossing that up Steely Dan.

After getting called out by Pants Armstrong had to get a 5 am lower body workout in. Like a cold shower or massive bowel movement it's painful at first but sets you up for a zip-a-dee-doh-da day.

- Fathead brewery may turn out some gems but hearing Sean Casey push the swill 9 times an hour on iHeart has me loathing the place. Body Armour a close second for claiming it's the choice of *elite* athletes like James Harden. He's a crafty jump shooter who flops, shimmies and walks while fluctuating his weight as much as anyone in gyero, not some endurance athlete

Speaking of discounted retail (thanks, anth), right about now is when Mom would take me up to the outlet malls in Indiana for a little back to school shopping spree. New bedding, some Polo oxfords, khakis, new pair of loafs, some essentials. Stuff would just amass in the foyer until time to head back down 64 and settle in for another glorious fall semester in Lexington.

I realize how lucky I was/am. Just wanted to drop a nostalgic college post. About that time.

I'll pretty much always add a butter/sauce/topping to Filet. Oscar or Au Poivre typically, but an occasional bleu/gorg crust on an otherwise boring Filet slaps. Buck's has the best version of that in Louisville, imo.

Filet Mignon*
8 oz. cast iron seared filet topped with aged gorgonzola, served on top of mashed potatoes and asparagus. Finished with demi-glace.

If I'm at a steakhouse, I do. I visit a steakhouse 2-3x a year, tops.

Unlike you weirdos who go to the same steakhouse literally every week of your life, I prefer actual restaurants, which typically don't offer more than 1 cut of beef (which I usually do not order).

Steak tips from Anth is definitely something to chuckle at, though.

Lol, I overcook 1 steak in my life. Which I didn't want to serve in the first place because:

1. We had a mid afternoon basketball game and I had been boozing and I had to rush home.
2. I was trying to set up a damn quality 3 round blind bourbon tasting and food.
3. There were like 8 of you drunk bastards.

Offered to order pizza or Harry's but apparently that wasn't good enough so I ended up BUYING 8 NY Strips and rushing around drunk trying to serve them. Forgot I was out of charcoal because it was f*cking February and I was freezing my balls off trying to light the grill. Prima donna bitches.

Any day or time vs anyone in the tread including Dr. Neck Roll. You both can get pumped.

-grilled some thick pork chops last night. Nothing "elevated" just a little dale's marinade. Perfect.

-dk is correct. Steakhouse a couple times a year=order steak...otherwise I'ma try something that's difficult/irritating to make/hard to get ingredients.

-cooked farmers market half runners with redskinned potatoes and bacon this weekend. Simple *and* delicious.

-been cooking mussels at home a lot of late. Pernod/leeks...and whatever else Im feeling goes in the pot. Crusty bread. Easy and elegant, imo.

-EDIT: if ruby's has their sweetbreads as a 1st course option...get it and speak well of me.

Red blood in these veins Comrad Brooks. Enjoy your bowl of borscht, little ho.

Since you brought it up, and Adrian has finally claimed responsibility for taking the burnt steak photo, there were at least two burnt steaks that night.

Anytime you wanna roll, it’s on *****. I’ll sear your *** up and down the block. Don’t think anyone here will celebrate you as a hero when you have to take a little mental health break afterwards.
