Can't root for the zags undefeated season.

I'm pulling for Baylor as well.
Baylor and its really not close for me.
Gonzaga isn't a very likeable team, from Kiss-blower to Eye-liner running the show (although I like Suggs)..
And I can't root for any team to go undefeated. Not sure why any UK fan would want to see that with how close we got ourselves.

It is really a win/win. If Baylor wins, Zags season ruined. If Zags win, strip the last lifeline Hoosiers hold of being the last undefeated team. Just one more kick in the nuts to the Hoosiers.
Don't really mind if Gonzaga goes undefeated, it would actually be funny. Indiana hardly ever gets talked about except to mention their perfect season. Imagine if they didn't even have that!

An undefeated season in a COVID year, coming from a team that plays in a Truck Stop Conference and scheduled some of the most overrated squads in the nation such as Kansas and Virginia in the non-conference?

I’m rooting for the Zags. I think they are very likable. I don’t feel like Gonzaga doing something great takes anything away from the greatness of UK.
Rooting for Gonzaga. Who cares if they have a winning season. They deserve it

Doesn’t matter to me who wins. Both are great teams, fun to watch. Coached well. Kids look like they enjoy themselves. Wish our teams looked like that.

Timme irritates me and it would be nice to stop hearing about 2015 for a while. BUT that undefeated record means so much to Indiana, so it'd be nice to have that ripped from them.

Most of us are strictly UK fans and want that accomplishment for our program

To me Gonzaga is just not very likable. Their execution is damn near flawless but Timme comes off as a major dickhead to me.
As did Rupp for most of his career.
Go Zags. I sure don't want Bobby Knight having the last undefeated season. Also, it's nice to see a mid-major team that doesn't get the best recruits win it. Having said that, i think Baylor will win.

i still don’t get the anxiety about them going undefeated. they don’t play in a power conference, they only played 32 games, and if they do it it’s a mark against iu not uk.

The part where I don't want another school to get an undefeated season before UK does, especially in a cheap way ( joke of a schedule ) like Gonzaga does?
Zags fan tonight but it was a hell of a game. I wish Jusang had been good enough to play at Kentucky.
It's perfect. I don't know how anybody couldn't see the appeal in that. It's really the last little bit of anything they can hang their hat on.
Like I said, I just want a good game, but man... the last undefeated team gets brought up nearly every season. It would be wonderful to have that taken away from IU.
I know a lot of fans here were alive for the 76 undefeated OU game..
But that was now 45 years ago. And it was done with less games in an older era of basketball.
If some IU fan was like "well we had the last undefeated team!" I'd probably just laugh at them lol. It's a 40 game feat to go undefeated.. don't really care if a team in the 70s did it under an outdated system.
But, again I get that some here are older and know a lot of IU fans.. so I get it I guess.

For me, no matter who won that Gonzaga-UCLA game would’ve made me pull for Baylor.
Certainly didn’t want UCLA to get #12, and match our total over the past 22 years.
