When I interned for Ernie Fletcher in law school, I spent a summer secretly researching whether it would be possible to legalize casino gambling without amending the state constitution (summary - it’s not). He actually was hell bent on passing that and it being his signature legacy. But David Williams and the republican senate was hell bent against it. Thus the need for the constitutional work-around.

I bring it up just to point out that it’s not a problem because of Republicans. The majority of the business/country club republican set want gambling/reefer, as evidenced by governor Ernie. It’s a problem because of evangelicals. And republican legislators are dependent on evangelical votes/support so they can’t cross them. Same reason why you see members of Congress bending over backwards to not boot out that crazy wack job who believes in the space lasers.

The religious right has done more to keep this state marginalized than any other single demographic group.
And if those legislators had a sack, they'd vote for it and tell their constituents to get bent because those same holy rollers against a craps table sure as hell know what a postage stamp means in Bingo and watch the Kentucky Derby.

What are they going to do? Vote for a Democrat that agrees with expanded gamblimg?

All for legal immigration.

Before the Kung flu, there were millions more jobs than people willing to take them.

Bring them on if they are willing to work. Lord knows a segment of actual American won't.

Settling up with your book sucks obviously, but it’s also a nice little rejuvenating feeling seeing that balance at zero.

I’m pretty well lit from starting my day doing barrel picks at 1030am, but in my mind doubling down on UK seems smart right now.

F that white floppy banged *******, F Orange everything, and I hope Cal gets tossed for a 2-0 Bruiser Flint/Dontaie Allen Big Blue Saturday Night!

Do we want UNC or Duke? Amazing how each game, each season, it changes.

Guess tonight I’d like to see K and Duke go to 7-7 and either he faint with back pain or cuss out a student media undergrad after the game.

UNC for me. Want Duke missing the tournament. UNC is in better shape than them right now.

ok, I’m gonna take it more seriously this time. No more stupid emotional or drunk bets.

KATES Moneyline? (very suspicious line tho. 3 pts??)

The money play with this bunch of losers is to live bet the opponent at the U4 of the second half.

I'M WITH THESE GUYS EVERY DAY

(rambles for a while)

Listen: I'M WITH THESE GUYS EVERY DAY... I tell them: SHOOT THE BALL (neglects to mention he yanks them and publicly berates them just a shade or two under what Bobby Knight used to when they miss a shot)

Rambles for a while to eat up radio time

Rinse. Wash. Repeat.

At least it's nice to see blue and white letters and numbers again rather than with the grey trim. It's a muddied look that honestly has pissed me off since the Tubby years.

Yeah mural of the crazies make it look like they are playing with a 1980s/90s video game crowd.

Also why is ESPN just making up dumb *** stories?

Orange and white checkered flags are a pretty common site during airport construction. Placed atop heavy machinery or big rigs, these flags stand seven feet high with a three-foot by three-foot flag. Smaller orange flags are seen at the top of barricades while multicolored pennant flags are strung along work zones to mark construction areas.

Askew doesn’t put his toe on the nail on foul shots. Would solve half of his shooting problems. The kid is literally not centered on his shots. His shooting eye is off line. Why doesn’t a coach tell him this?

You would think the former ACC ball boy would be particularly familiar with that area of the court and the layout of the floor.
