My 2001 F-150 with 190,000 miles, which is just getting broken in, should be good for another couple of years. Of course I don’t have a gaggle of kids or gear to haul around either nor have I had a car payment in over a decade. SO I’ve got that going for me.

Penny wise and pound foolish on the part of CBS. Best football conference in the country by a mile that gave them near pro-level ratings from a die-hard regional fanbase that also had broad national appeal.

Guess when you pay Romo 17m a year and have to give old fancy pants Nantz a raise to keep him from whining, you have to make cuts somewhere.

We're (my wife) is thinking of finishing out the rest of our basement and building out our side porch a little more. I'm in the office finishing up a call, but the remodeler is asking my wife some great questions.

- "Are you sure you want to do this? Well, how long do you want to be in the house?"
- "do you really think you'll use the space?"
- "are you sure you want to go with those furnishings; that's much more expensive"

Covid be damned, I'm about to go in there and give him a hug.

2014 Toyota FJ. 60K miles. I bought it last July. Probably paid more than I should but these FJ’s just don’t really depreciate right now.

In my head my plan is to drive it for the next 10 years or so until we are all riding in autonomous vehicles

- “Vehicles are waaaay too expensive ...”

A few beats later ...

“... my Lexus ...”

Way to drive your point home, Chase.

- I’m sure I’ll be overpaying for a sport utility vehicle soon enough, and it’s going to kill my environmentalist cred at the coffee shop.

- Tell ya what- that UNC win two years ago was one of the Top 25 or so most satisfying regular season Ws of my life. Helped that I took it in at a neighborhood pub in NYC. Hoping for a similar “turn” soon. Of course, in hindsight, that team was absolutely loaded.

- I’m sorry but I find a lot of charity obnoxious and self-serving.

- A Christmas bloody mary sounds really good about now.

- I don’t want to see or hear from our basketball coach or players right now. STFU and grind. No cheesy hype videos. No ******** motivational ploys. No Cal talk. Get it together.

- What a post by Clark. I haven’t been immediately sold on a vacation since those Pure Michigan commercials first came out.

- It’s pretty impressive how quickly women adapt to motherhood. My wife is made for this stuff.

I get it, but mine is 10 years old. I bought it 10 years ago at less than a year old at half the price the new ones sell for now.

My point, really, was that no matter what brand you want to buy, you're going to pay out the *** for a new vehicle that isn't a PTI special with manual windows. Used to be you paid a premium for Lexus, Mercedes, BMW, etc...now you have to pay a premium for Ford, Chevy, whatever. Everything is the cost of a "luxury" brand now.

Chevy Chase apparently has a unicycler. I was sitting at Chinoe and Cooper and a 40+ woman in typical athleisure clothes and Patagonia jacket carried a unicycle across the crosswalk talking on the phone and then just hopped up on it while still on the phone and took off.

It was surreal.

Chevy chase is a trip man. Everybody is demolishing their houses over there. Every time I roll down Cochran or hart road all the pretty little bitches holler at me and my ‘09 Chevy avalanche. “Hey demo man, I got something you can wreck” “hey demo man - want to come over and kiss me??” Unreal. Sorry honey I’m just here to demo your neighbors house, put that thing away! Every single time.

"Faces of Zoom Court in Kentucky" would be a great website.

I’ve been amazed at the number of attorneys who can’t even bother to throw on an old blazer or sport coat for motion docket (let alone a tie). I’ve softened some of my views on proper public dress amidst our “new reality,” but court is court, folks.

I posted not long ago about wanting to take a gander at the Expeditions...well, I did. Apparently, those vehicles are gold plated on the inside or something.

Ended up with a 20’ Explorer that they just wanted to move off the lot and gave me a deal on (of course no one ever says they walked off the lot getting screwed, amiright?).

Anyway, the tech on these new vehicles is wild, feel like I’m in Flight of the Navigator driving to work. PTI would not approve.
