we have had a talent evaluation problem for a long time. It seems like if Cal misses on his 1st guy, which happens a lot now, he just goes to the next available guy who hasn't committed yet. Do we even watch guys play?
the most disturbing part to me & I know to Cal is they fact these guys don't show any ability to compete mentally or physically. Just weak at both which is not a good sign .. I'd say we will hear this over & over from Cal in coming weeks. Struggling teams that are tough minded & scrapers can work out of things like this. Ones that can't will tank.

The fans aren't the reason why the players feel defeated. It is the coach. This team couldn't been in a better position. They have the luxury of playing in an empty arena without a bunch of hostile fans, but yet can't control their nerves because of a screaming coach who has completely taken away all of their confidence. Wow we are seeing just how important it is to have an assistant coach who can return confidence to the players after having it taken away by the head coach.
I was only referring to your comment. You had written that we would win one Final Four a decade. I'm aware that Cal has been to four of them, but my point was that he's won one of them.
I have been a Cal fan, but if this team goes NIT, and if he fails to land Hardy, I'm done with the Cal system. It's predicated on landing elite freshmen, and he's been woeful at landing them outside of the recent Boston/Clarke combo, and Boston looks like a fake top 5 guy.

If I were a UK fan I wouldn't worry about Hardy. That's a G-League decision. I actually believe it's already been made. Just not for public consumption.
What good is it to UK for Cal to send his players off to the NBA after one year even when they are not ready?
