Friend of mine had a heart attack behind the wheel and passed out on the highway. Hit the median and bounced into a pole. Dead before paramedics got there and he was 31. F you 2020.

Give your friends a hug today.
Truly sorry for you and anyone that knew him. 31...just getting started.

And here we are getting worked up about an election when real life is passing us by.

Sorry for your loss, PL.

6 years ago (MLK Day) some old dude had a heart attack, jammed on his gas and hit my parked beautiful roadster. Unbeknownst to me, got off bus to drive home to find a chunk of plastic and a puddle.

dude died supposedly. My car totaled. Terrible.

I froze waiting for wife to see my texts to pick me up 2 hours later.

So sorry to hear that, man. It hits close to home. When I had mine at 35, I passed out at a traffic light. Got lucky. Woke up to people honking and was able to get myself home, then to the hospital. I have frequently wondered how things would have been different had I not been at a stop light.

Condolences to you and your friend's family.

Damn. I'm glad you woke up, JDrum.

From what I've been told, dude knew something wasn't right and called his mom complaining of chest pain earlier in the day. Why he didn't just go to the ER, no one knows. I'm good friends with two of his exes...talk about very complicated grief for both of them.

Remember that day. World is a much better place with JDrum in it, that's for sure.

My wife left school early and made me go. I got home, laid down for a bit, and started feeling better. She was like, "No. You're going to the hospital right now. Nobody blacks out for no good reason." It probably saved my life.

Can't stress enough if any of you feel something is really "off," go get it checked out.

He probably didn't go to the hospital because it is hardwired into a man to "walk it off".

A few years ago I started having chest pains driving to get us dinner. My thought was "damn I'm too young to have a heart attack." Got home and eating seemed to help so we went to bed.

Around 11 I wake up with the worst pain I have ever felt in my life. Did I wake my wife up? Nah I went and laid on the couch. My wife is a deep sleeper but my groans from the other room woke her up or it was the dogs who did it. She demanded we go to the hospital where I was admitted for emergency gallbladder surgery.

~In the year of "you can't be doing that" and we're damn lucky to have football of any kind, if students want to be students and flip the bird to the brass, then by all means, rush the field. Good grief.

~Anyone here lucky enough to be part of the Keeneland/BC "in crowd" that got to go? Pretty damn hilarious to see 3 deep on the rail w/ the "no fans" and social distancing rules.

~Awesome to see fans in Houston at the PGA event. Augusta could have figured it out had they wanted.

~Weekend weather was a painted picture.

~Kona Classic from World Market is excellent...it can't beat what you get on the island, but it is damn good.

~No Mercy.

Two nights ago I fall into a pretty good sleep, I wake up to this terrible pain in my shoulder all the way down my arm. I had rolled onto my side. I thought I just pinched a nerve (maybe I have) and it would go away but yesterday and last night were brutal, it hurt nonstop. I can barely stir my coffee with my right arm.

So yeah, I hurt myself sleeping...getting older is fun!

-Every time my back gets out of whack it's from sleep. TS.

-Sorry for the loss, pretzel.

-Still unsure of why Lawrence was allowed at the game and not able to play. SMH. The heart thing? Come on.

Even though I'm Catholic, I've never had much love for the Domers. Fun game though and enjoyed the peaceful protest following the game, regardless if that's beneath them or not.

-Man, what an autumn for foliage. Stunning. Lots of reds and yellows. The ginkgo was unreal, pure gold.

-Did not do well on BC. Big slump. Time off until spring. Some great races though and Keeneland, as always, was the real star. F*cking BB, tho.

-Two things the 45th President had that I just don't trust, not a dog dad, and doesn't enjoy a cocktail(caveat -> unless recovering). Those are 2 major strikes.

-So happy electionsucka is over. Back to all being good Wildcat friends and hating the Fat Wop.

-Back at the desk after 2 weeks off. We still doing zoom meetings?

-Other than completely dark by 6p, what a weather weekend. Even got 2 nice lil November rides in.

-Celebrity Jeopardy on SNL are still some of my favorite skits. Good day to catch up.

-If you're a smashburger family, like we are, get a burger press. Dope and saves my knuckles from being burnt.

I asked my bf if he would listen now when I said hey go to the doctor, and he said "no, my heart is fine." oh, okay, sure.

Before everything hit the fan bf competed and ended with a 1955 lb total, so almost doubled me. I am more excited about that than my own lifting tbh. Very proud. and our friend would have been too.

it's a beautiful Monday, GYERO.

UKO's incessant whining and crying about not being allowed to Keeneland or the Breeder's Cup during Covid restrictions (which are in effect at every event, nationwide) along with Ownership, Trainers, Families, and a select few preferred players/big spenders/corporate sponsors cracks me up.

In every one of his Tweets he references Churchill Downs, as if he would have been present at the BC had it been there instead.

Such a clown. Maybe take your own advice and just enjoy that they are having racing at all?

This weather is incredible. Been a while since weve had a legit fall.

K80 started daycare this morning. B$ goes back to work soon. House is going to be quiet.

The next 10 weeks in DC are going to be interesting. Hopefully the dickhead in the White House declassifies everything before he gets evicted.

Two weeks until Thanksgiving, six weeks until Christmas 😬 and I'm sipping coffee on my deck in shorts and a Henley t-shirt

The neighbor two doors down is currently blowing his leaves into my next door neighbors landscaping 😂 what a dick

Deer gun season opens this weekend. Need to stock up on venison this year.

Downtown Lexington is a construction zone currently. When this work is finished though, it's going to be badass. The Rupp/Convention Center area is going to be completely different. Going to be strange with the Hyatt not connected to Rupp though.

Waffle House for breakfast. Overheard the griddle cook talking about how he doesnt take care if his teeth and is planning on getting them all pulled. Also said he's going to have diabetes, but he's good right now because he's still under 400 lbs. 😲🤮

All of the above didn't come close to making up the nearly 5K in attendance. Take a horseshow and stick it up your ***.

* Pfizer giving a herculean lift to the market this morning with great news. Fingers crossed it's as effective as early reports indicate.

* Cot dam yesterday was an amazing day for 18. Picturesque skies, cool breeze, true pilsners flowing like the salmon of Capistrano. Tried out my buddies hot-off-the-showroom M6 Taylor Made driver and after a few successful strikes, will be upgrading mine. Needed any excuse to update the bag.

* Besides the hassle of finding your ball in the leaves, fall golf > summer golf.

* Ruth's Chris needs a mixologist to give their bartenders a lesson on how to properly make an Old Fashioned. No excuse for a steakhouse to touch up a go-to cocktail by making it sugary and watered down.

* Awful news pretzel..condolences to you and your friend's family 😞

* These days most of my routine conversations with advisors are via email but when it gets to nut cutting time, Teams meetings have replaced a phone call. Think it's because they have trained their clients to interact with them this way so they do the same with outside parters. Really don't see the big deal, tbh.

<- has perfected the button down, shorts, flip flops combo to the point I think Peter Millar may need to push out that look.

I'm not sure it's ever going to be finished. They've poured and tore up the sidewalks in front of 5/3, Marriott, and Ruby's like 4 times now. I know it's going to be part of Town Branch but I'm not sure why they have to keep redoing it.

The section from Broadway to Limestone will be done in the next couple of weeks. They are about to start on the section from Limestone to Midland.

They tore up the old stuff because the new is completely different. They haven't redone anything, but some of the work done at City Center was temporary so they could open for business while waiting for this project to go.

-so last night...youngest and a friend took a bag of semisweet chocolate chips upstairs. Left untended...found and devoured by buster the beagle. Roughly 11pm. Was at emergency vet in 30. Stayed til 230am or so. He's still there. Hoping for the best. Being monitored (btw...i now suggest emergency vet schooling instead of welding certificate) closely. Life is exhausting, gang.

-hang in there pretzel.

*Masters week > election week. Really looking forward to seeing Augusta in the fall, something we'll likely never see again.

*Read a little blurb about one of Bryson's practice rounds. 8 iron into number 2 and 3 wood over the green on the 350 yard 4th. I really wish the guy wasn't such a GD dbag. I'd like to root for him, but I just can't because of how much of a ***** he is. If he had even a mediocre personality he'd currently be almost all of golf's golden child.

*Golf Saturday with my Dad, BIL, and one of my Dad's long time friends who I've played golf with since I was 9. He's over 70, and might be in the very early stages of alzheimer's. My Dad is pushing 70 as well. I'm not sure how many more golf years I've got with my Dad and my old guy friends, but I'm enjoying every time we get to go out and not taking it for granted.

*My wife's parents and my parents both now live in our neighborhood. That would likely suck for a lot of people, but my parents and my in-laws are awesome, so it is fantastic for us. Now we have a baby sitter whenever we need it, and as they age it'll be a hell of a lot easier to help them as they get up there in age.

Yeah we’ve had to have SEVERAL discussion with my son about how leaving his 592 pieces of Halloween candy sorted on his floor isn’t a thing he can do anymore with a puppy in the house.

In other words I’ll probably be making a similar post here shortly
