I’ve never been to Stoney River and I’m sure it’s great but with all of the good to great local spots we have in town why choose it?

I get it if you’re Wayne and there’s nothing but chain restaurants out that way but why?

~Happy Birthday to me...I've known a lot of you for a # of yrs...even when my kids were little and brought them to a couple of tailgates yrs back. Now watching some of you w/ your own is nothing short of awesome. All bickering BS aside, I wish all of you the best and hope we can get thru this mess soon. We all miss sports and our daily routines and I know it is wearing on everyone, at least those who thrive on being social, as most here are. Stay safe and sane.

~My hindrances thanks to covid...constant worry about my parents catching it, mask bs, no concerts, not being able to go to NYC, not being able to go to a sporting event.

~Doc's fav restaurant in the middle of downtown Lex was as closed to 100% capacity as it could have been Sat night. A couple of tables missing, but otherwise hard to see where they were skimping...and they damn sure weren't anywhere near 25%.

~Lex has avg 48 cases/day the last 8 days, and Mayor Gorton refuses to acknowledge anything related to getting our city running full steam. Andy has a stranglehold on everything. Lex has a total of 48 CV19 deaths and 34 of those are FMC/LTC. #OPENUP

~Sports....PGA Tour has been A+ so far. MLB w/o fans is ridiculous although watchable. NBA is comedy central.

-Stepped outside into the crisp air this morning and immediately started the wait for Richie's wistful post about K flags flying down I-64.

-Why do you all even follow Tucker? If you follow The Athletic's general CBB account, you can get all Tucker's articles and not have to put up with all the WOKE.

-Nothing put a smile on my face yesterday than seeing Herro put that flopper Grant Williams on skates.

-That new Netflix doc about Rubik's Cube speed racers is insane. Nice little 40-minute watch. Absolutely crazy the way their minds work. I never once figured mine out as a kid, had to resort to just rearranging the stickers.

-It really needs to be said again that August is an underrated month. Weather, sports, schools starting, good produce. Worship.

-Lass and daughter had contact with a Covid so naturally they needed to leave the state's largest city and drive to Versailles for a rapid test. Both negative.

-Member-Guest this weekend. Practice round Thursday. 27 Friday. 18 Saturday. 9 hole match play/low net. Lass taking the kids to Lexington Thursday morning. Incredible forecast. LFG.

-Don't think I've had a sip of bourbon since May but probably need to retire the Hendricks after last weekend. Jack Rudy tonic syrup not helping either. Frozen gin and tonics, too. The whole lot of it, really.

-Lot of Johnny Come Latelys in the loafer game it seems. My insta advertising is littered with them. I like a lot of the styles (drivers) but just not sure I can *trust* the brand yet. Regardless, I am in the market. Won't be outclassed this upcoming Fall at home.

-Dad's old lady (widow herself) is Italian. Wonderful lady and we all love her. Anywho, she made meatballs and her family "gravy" for us over the weekend. Shew bubbers.

I honestly think my Mom is happy to see my Dad have a companion but get the sense that her incredible cooking skills are probably aggravating the hell out of Mom.

-DISCLOSURE: Before she ever got sick she said repeatedly that if something were to ever happen to her she did NOT want my Dad to meet someone or be happy. #MARRIAGE. Tongue in cheek though (kind of). His problem, I guess.

-Guess we're not getting any new uniforms this year. Of course not.

-Worship most all things buffalo sauce but keep the buffalo chicken dip. I don't get down with that mess.

always gets a corner of my mouth grin when I order from some self-important barista.

- Nashville wannabe LA trendy influencer types bought an airbnb house in East Nashville, spent a **** ton of money redoing it and named it The Fashion House with rooms set up for all sorts of photography (mainly naked girls, totally fine with), and threw an absolute rager party last weekend as an opening party of sorts. Idiots. Thousand plus people packed into the house, hundreds in line down the street. All over social media with zero masks, drugs, rumors of hired prostitutes...the works really. Shockingly, giant backlash now. Kindly was there tho!

Cops didn't shut it down because they said they couldn't enforce a mayor's ordinance on private property. Basically, a big eff you to the Mayor from the cops who are overworked, tired of being shamed into enforcing masks in public, protests, etc. Lots of tension between everyone in the city. Things are just great!

- New blinds installed this week. What a damn racket. Price fixing in that market, for damn sure.

- Saturday rented a private cabana at new trendy hotel rooftop pool for a friends 30th. Marcus. Tahoe trip got cancelled, still saving money. Darkest sunglasses on the market will be worn. Scenery should be outstanding.

-Down 15 lbs since the beginning of the year, back to my fighting weight of 170. Cardio, bodyweight exercises, and a few peloton workouts is my formula. We did cut out just about any processed foods now, which was fairly easy for just two people.

-Have fielded some interesting voicemails from folks not happy that students are moving back to campus. I can assure you nobody asked my opinion on if we should be back on campus or not. Outbreaks are inevitable- every school is going to likely have them. I have zero idea what the bigger impact on local areas will be. I am glad to have students back. And I have a lot of anxiety about how it will go.

-I've drank crafties all over the globe, but still put Cougar Bait at the top of the list

-I miss a couple of those 4 footers per round, cant imagine how wobbly my knees would be if there was that much cash on the line. The celebration as he missed it is hilariously harsh. The guy at the very end of the clip is literally leaping with joy.

-Happy Birthday to the Bonz. Hard to believe its going on 20 years i've known that animal. Have had some great experiences with him, maybe none better than getting kicked out of GABP together at a friend's bachelor party.

This man you call “Common Sense” is the devil in sheep’s clothing. He tries to make things sound so simple, but when you get down to it he’s almost always denigrating scientific memes and going on and on about some smell test he thinks he invented (smell test is NOT scientific BTW). He sounds like a whiny ***** *** liberal loser and he can keep his ******** opinions to himself. As for me, I’ll continue living free in MY America. Those f*cking sheep won’t fool me.
