-"Perfect Blue Buildings" probably not celebrated enough when August and Everything After was released. Love that song.

-Not the time for the lass to criticize my kitchen cleaning or food storage practices but I oddly respect her incessant desire to see how hot the burner really is.

-Governor Cuomo for President.

-6 year old watched Goonies and Wizard of Oz this week. Her film education continues with Free Willy and Sandlot. I'm lobbying for Blues Brothers but somehow that's been deemed too adult for now.

-Oh to be stuck on an island with service industry folks from a Florida tourist trap.

-Grown my first beard out of opportunity/boredom. Don't care for it. I'm a clean-shaven guy. Just how it is and how it's going to be.

-Flipped through a memory book from a fall Cape Cod trip from a few years back. I swear, I'm giving a whole lot less of a **** about things once this ordeal is over. Maybe an odd reaction while reminiscing on happier times and places, but whatever. Let the good times roll atkot.

- Joe Exotic received 18% of the Libertarian vote in the Oklahoma governor primary?

Obviously, a lot of white trash in Tiger King, but that Jeff Lowe is going off at 1/9 at MattsCats Sportsbook for MVP of all dirt bags.

Carol has a bush up to her bellybutton, lock.

- @bbdk, sorry I just saw your request to be a wildcat friend. We could have cashed on Wells Bayou in the Louisiana Derby. Too bad I got drunk and ballsy (no, those two things never go together) and bet it all on a race later that night where the favorite pulled up down the stretch.

We have the Florida Derby this weekend at Gulfstream with four studs (Tiz the Law, Ete Indien, Gouverneur Morris and Independence Hall). Hoping to get good value on Gouverneur.

- Is this an awkward time for people in extra-martial affairs?

- Had a tremendous, 11-roll hit on my ****** craps board I put up (craps felt on a 6-foot folding table, with foam at the end of one side). Hit two hardway 4s, one 10 and one $10 bet on snake eyes. If financially feasible and had all day to just mess around and sip on drinks, the craps table is where it's at for me. Love the camaraderie with everyone and fists bumps and high fives--when we could still do that. Was a hoot in Vegas seeing the lass roll like crazy and all the drunk guys around at 1am calling her Tits McGee.

- The asinine preacher from Lewis County that opened up his church did my kid's grandmother's funeral. Dude stood up there for 90 minutes reading out of the Bible. Plenty of huffs and puffs from the family members in the funeral home.

- Our fantasy football league group text always does random brackets. Ten voters, one non-player designated as tie-breaker. This time: Best Movie from 64 Ones Selected. Regions: Action, Comedy, Potpourri and Sequels/Prequels. Final Four: Big Trouble in Little China, Blazing Saddles, Major League and The Dark Knight. Blazing Saddles over BTILC for the title.

Absolutely horrible and could only see The Dark Knight in the FF; even though I fought that Godfather 2 should be be there instead.

- Weather looking pretty good for opening weeeknd at Keeneland. :(

Petitions going around

Oh man, petitions are going around!?!?!?!?! That should make a HUGE impact!

It's a wild concept, but maybe, just maybe, "abortion clinics" and liquor stores are open so that their closure doesn't inadvertently cause more people to go to the ER that otherwise wouldn't be there. For example, I don't know, alcoholics going through withdrawal symptoms and women who reach for a coat hanger instead of going to a doctor.

You can argue whether or not you think those people deserve health care for those reasons, but it is irrelevant. If they show up at the ER, they'll be seen, and they'll take away resources that could be used for CV patients.

FYI, for you morons out there, Planned Parenthood provides:
  • Birth Control Implant

-awful legislation she introduced, but Savannah Maddox is next on the nudie text bucket list.

-Starting a dystopia unit with my students this week. We always do it, but it feels especially useful right now. The four of them that read their chosen novels will definitely draw parallels.

-tank of gas may last me two months while prices are $1.70 per gallon. Of course.

Interesting new drug being floated to combat the virus.

Actemra is an arthritis drug, but its mechanism of action is to block interleukin-6, which is a cytokine involved in the deadly inflammatory phase that leads to respiratory failure...this actually makes sense in theory. Roche just sent New York 10,000 vials. Marcus

Biologic?

I don't understand your question.

Italy at 69K cases and climbing. They'll pass China's official count by the weekend. There are probably millions in China infected, but "not reported."

New York continues to make up half the cases in this country.

Taltz?

Been on that **** since their clinical trials.

I confess I'm not as up to date on my immunology and cytokine pathways as I was in med school, but the anti-inflammatory properties may confer you some protection.

Makes sense though. It's the "cytokine storm" that leads to ARDS and respiratory failure. If you can calm that down, might save a lot of lives.

Just caught an “NBA Classic” on NBA tv where Jordan scored 69. I’m sure some of you don’t like him because of the UNC connection and I’m stating the obvious but man what a beautiful game he played. Ya he was athletic as hell but he was just so unbelievably smooth and skilled, just a joy to watch. Also Bill Cartwright was complete trash and would absolutely never be on an NBA roster today.

Beach was good again. Volleyball for 3 games. A police officer stopped us and told us we were doing everything correctly. Even joined the game for a couple points and had another officer take pics for the paper.

Appreciate those people. We’ve been doing 6:30 sunset rides with a group and been stopped by the police every time. They’ve been super cool and appreciate us enjoying our time.

This island will lose a lot of businesses because of this. A lot of people will leave that haven’t saved. It’s going to be a catastrophe down here once its said and done.
