No doubt, the woman needs to be banned forever.

But, how are they going to prevent her from ever seeing a UK game again in person. Away games? Neutral sites? Tournaments? Bowl games? She can change her hair, get tickets from someone else, not go back for a few years and by then everyone has forgotten all about her.

Seems more symbolic than anything. What are they gonna do, give all the ticket takers pictures of her for every UK event going forward and tell them 'not to let this women in under any circumstances'? Seems like an impossible task if the woman really wants to get back into a UK game.

Having said that, she is a POS and deserved the perma-ban!

Her apology. Sounds heartfelt. You guys are over the top

My reaction after the game was unacceptable, period," she told the television station. "It was against all values of the university and state of Kentucky. I humbly apologize to the individuals at which my words were directed. My words were hurtful and hateful and have no place in this world. I apologize to the university and state of Kentucky for the embarrassment I have caused. I want my apology not just to be in words, but in actions moving forward."

So what’s stopping her from having her neighbor or cousin buy the tickets for her and attending that way? I think it’s a little ridiculous she got a lifetime ban. She has already issued an apology and I’m sure she is extremely embarrassed. No, there isn’t anything to justify what she said, but what would y’alls reaction be in her shoes if the dude she said that to called her a fat, ugly b**** with a jacked up wig (due to cancer treatment) that needs to go back home and f*** her cousin? I’m sure a lot of y’all would try and say the most hurtful thing you could think of back to the dude. Especially being a Tennessee fan. That hatred just runs deep anyways.

Disclaimer: for all you SJWs. No, I am not condoning the use of the N word in public. Just playing devils advocate. None of us know what the dude said to her to warrant that type of response.

Where is resident lawyer who defended her so vehemently the last couple of days? UK had no choice but to go this route. You can't let this kind of stuff be tied to your programs without making a bold move to distance yourself. Trying to explain it away because she has had brain cancer is just ridiculous.

My guess is that she will not want to come back in Rupp or even in public at least for a while. If she is ever found in the building, they will escort her out. If that doesn't work, the will take legal steps to keep her off the property. They can't do anything about away games, except to ask other venues to take similar steps, though I doubt that is necessary.

Heartfelt? Sounded like damage control to me. Her true feelings came out the other night at the game. The statement was measured and PR.

Terrible take. You call her a POS while advocating for her stringent punishment for using hurtful language.

Ok well I'll have to take your word for it, Swami. I'm not a mind reader like you. Let's all just assume the worst!

No one would ever know she is there. It’s not like they’re going to be circulating pictures around of her or putting her picture up on the big board waiting for her to walk through the door. Other fans certainly aren’t going to be paying attention to whether she’s there or not. Everyone will forget about all this by next week. It’s just something the University had to do to avoid a PR crisis and appease the Twitter mobs in this PC world.

She most definitely is a POS.

Do you know her personally? She definitely made a very big mistake in using such despicable language, and she deserves some type of ban from UK venues. But, she has also apologized in what seems to be a sincere manner. We all make mistakes, hopefully not this big, but she doesn't deserve to be called a POS unless you have way more evidence than this incident about her character.

Exactly. Honestly, how is StlCat any better than her? Because his language is less offensive it certainly would be hurtful.

God does interesting things with our mistakes. This may make her a much better person overall. If so, was it really that bad? A little room for forgiveness is best in most situations.

Would you risk coming back in with the possibility of being escorted out of the venue by security. I think the threat will be plenty to keep her away, at least for the short term. In 2-3 years, she might get brave enough to try. Remember, by all accounts, she is well known around the program.

Sorry if what I said was offensive to all of the POS out there. If you can't understand the difference between calling someone a POS (when they clearly are) and using a hateful racial slur, I'm not sure what I can do for you. Perhaps it was a bit harsh. Doesn't change anything about my original post though which was focused around the fact that it is laughable that UK could actually prevent her from seeing games in the future.

I’d probably give it a year, but yeah, I’d definitely try my luck.
