We win Saturday and will be #7 in the polls. Yet we’re a 4 seed....these bracket projections people need a break from basketball

Good road win, Duke loss, and Dr Mike’s Fat Tuesday extravaganza. What a time to be alive.

Crawfish and bbq shrimp were unreal.

The words "Hot Pocket Heiress" might be the biggest indictment of the American way of life I've ever seen.

Spoken like a true commie, imo. I'm glad that you can get insanely rich stuffing cheese and fillings in pastry and helping hungover poor people the world over.

I also think it is stupid that the federal government has nothing better to do than investigate a bunch of rich people cheating to get their idiot kids into overpriced universities. I'm pretty sure no one thinks the Hot Pocket heiress' kid is the next Einstein even if he did graduate from Yale with a degree in humanities.

Also and indictment of the American way:

damn damn damn

That would be awesome after you waited 3 hours for it to cool down.

cheddar ranch blasted crust

And they're healthy, too.

You could easily argue that Hot Pockets are one of the greatest additions to American Cuisine.

- After Saturday and last night, I'm fully in. Not going to wallow in misery about the problems with this team and how we may lose. There are more bright spots than negatives, and it's one of my favorite times of the year, just going to enjoy it.

- As happy for EJ as anybody (Nick and IQ go without saying), hope the trend continues.

- Time for this trash weather to go, two more weeks or so.

- "He got put on a poster!" is one of the most overplayed, rolls eyes phrases in sports. Worn out and was never that clever in the first place.

- Bourbon n' Toulouse half gator etouffee, half gumbo, both over jamb, extra bread, and a crawfish boil sidecar hit the Mardi Gras spot last night. Don't forget the Cajun Power sauce.

Humpday Takes:

- yesterday, Hot Pockets and Dick Pound were the top two trends on twitter at one point

- learned about a thing call "pink tax" and was told my music sucked, Cricket can GGP IMO

- sad story in the fishing world, a HS boat team went over Pickwick dam the other day. Boat has been found, two 15 yo anglers and a 43 yo chaperone have not.

- cold rain sucks, I'd rather have snow

- is Hagans even draftable at this point? He accidentally slapped a defender. How can a pg be so unaware and careless?

- the NET is apparently garbage

- fish sandwich season has officially begun!

7-1 on the Hoops last night. Harmon & I decided to wait for Live & 2H betting to change it up, it turned out even better than expected. Hammered the Miss St live line (pk) as soon as Petty went out. Hammered UNC when it got to pk. Hammered Sparty when it got down to -2. Only loss was Duke, which is fine - was still a good bet (-2.5 live).

Betting straight lines has been next to impossible this year imo. Lots of value to be had Live betting if you're in a position to pay attention to a few games on a given night.

Rainy Randos:

* Without the Evansville loss, most smart college basketballs would be really liking our chances in this crazy year of CBB.

* UConn came out of nowhere in 2014 to win the title after an iffy year because Shabazz Napier was the best guard in the tourney. I'm going to have a coke and relax and believe that IQ could potentially be our Napier this year.

IQ is tearing it up right now. It is an incredible asset in March to have a guard you 100% trust to handle the ball, score, and hit free throws in crunch time. I'm probably missing someone but it feels like we haven't had one of those guys since Ulis.

* Good to have 80 back in GYERO to fight the pinko socialist wave.

* In the tourney, our starters might all average at least 35 minutes. Our bench is awful. Thank sweet baby Jesus that EJ Montgomery is finally playing to his strengths and providing defense and rebounding rather than throwing up 18 footers. In December it wasn't clear whether Montgomery would be a better option than Sestina or Brooks. Now it is 100% obvious. As usual, Cal made the right decision to stick with the right kid even when it frustrates the BBN.

* How many debates are there? Have there always been this many? It feels like we have been having a democratic debate a week for two years now. Then we're going to have more whenever Trump ridicules whoever is the nominee.

What a stupid way to pick the leader of the free world.

Biggest problem I see maybe even more so than Hagans and his careless turnovers, is Cal trying to run out the clock with 6 minutes to go. Every game i scream at the TV, "GDit Cal, there is a shot clock, you can;t milk 6 minutes in one possession." Not only does it force a bad shot, but it also causes turnovers because they rush with the clock winding down and force passes not there.

Loved it last night when Hagans went full stupid and turned it over, Cal looked straight at Quickley and screamed at him to come to the ball. Well, he was open where he was, Hagans was not giving it up. maybe throw some **** at King Hagans, The Chosen One.

- Sure is going to be fun next year watching Maxey run point guard for some NBA team and look all world.

- If you don’t like this team, ask yourself how many teams in the tournament would we be underdogs against? 3-4 tops?

- The Grizzlies are going to collapse. Sad to see after a fun 2/3 of a season. Losing Jaren Jackson and Brandon Clark was too much even if it’s for 2 weeks. 0-3 on this road trip and we won’t win tonight either.

New Orleans is a better more fun first round matchup vs LA anyway, I guess.

- Man F some gambol........I’ve contemplated trying to quit forever, at least basketball.

- The Toasted Down Home is flowing. 336 bottles done, and hope for about 1200.

- Nice of Joe Burrow to silence the nonsense and admit he would play for Cinci, AND that he wants to be #1. I was starting to think Cinci was going to be forced to bungle this thing.

- Astro’s have already been hit 6 times in 3 games. Good! I’m taking the over 83 on the season for sure(**** guess I’m not quitting)

- KFC has a new sandwich. Chicken Tenders between 2 glazed donuts. o_O
