Skal was also unplayable, on a team desperate for a big man, by conference play.

Cal did go long stretches without playing him, but Skal was actually pretty serviceable at the end of the season. When he was given the minutes, he usually did OK.

Last 2 regular season games...
@ Florida 11 pts, 8 rebs and 1 block
LSU 18 pts, 9 rebs, 6 blocks

In the NCAA tournament he averaged 8 pts, 5 rebs and 3 blocks per game.

Hell, for the season he averaged 6.6 points, 3.1 rebs, 1.6 blocks and shot 51.6% from the field.

Not nearly what you want/expect from a top 3 recruit, but night and day better than The Dragon has been so far.

Skal went from #1 recruit and projected 1 draft pick to the last pick of the 1st round. :joy:

He couldn't beat out Marcus Lee and was only playing in Jan/Feb when we were in foul trouble. It was the same convo where they struggled getting an easy rebound.

I don't think Whitney is better, like Ive said, he's unplayable. He's also not needed like Skal was on that team. Think you all are recency biased af.

I’m glad Skal made the NBA and even happier he survived a terrible situation in Haiti. All that said - I sports hated that mofo with every ounce of my body. We needed him to produce on that team. Whitney, however, I don’t really care about.

Really psyched about anth wasting his entire Monday afternoon scouring the older pages of GYERO hoping to regain some semblance of leverage for an argument that he has already lost.

Top 5 CBB poster is pretty much unattainable for you, doggie.

Prolly best for you to stay in your lane and hover in the Top 25ish range.

Thanks.

Skal is the biggest bust, IMO.

Pre-season top 2 pick in the NBA OMGZ CAN'T MISS FRANCHISE GUY all the way ----> GTFO take the money & run your handler is a POS don't want to mess w/ the 2016 mojo TIA.

*Will say that Skal showed some impressive amounts of that 'Daniel Orton passive aggressive **** away from the ball'. He was good for one or two random pushes/chicken wings/awkward scrums a game. He may be a great kid off the court but he's got ***** tendencies out there, which would have been more prevalent had he been more productive and actually stayed on the court.

With the search feature it's really easy. Skal was actually universally loved in January of 2016. Pretty remarkable.

Anybody go to Blackberry farm? Sounds cool until I saw the price tag, shew.

My college roommate went there last year for his birthday. Said it was the experience of a lifetime and worth the money (if you can afford the massive price tag). He said the wine cellar is one of the best he’s ever seen.

BTW it’s more than $1500/night once you include food wine and activities.

I actually have Tony’s back here.

Skal was the biggest bust. He was #1 or 2 in his class, and his being that good was a must for that team.

Dragon dropped to #12 or so in a terrible class. In fact, despite his ranking, I’d say it was pretty clear UK fans had higher expectations for his wingmates Juzang and Brooks coming into the season.

So, Skal is easily the greater bust to me, staying true to the connotation; the fact Whitney is awful and has few redeeming qualities at this point is a moot point.

Plus, leave Pretty Tony alone. Dude’s probably dealing with some neuroses right now. He’s married to a 40 year old. I’m already dreading that and it’s 8 years away.

Man, Sloot being 40 makes me feel old. But it’s the new 30 right?

Also could use some new Vegas restaurant recs, haven’t been out there in over a year. TIA

Still not exactly sure what they were doing but it appears they get to keep their World Series, so it seems worth it to me. If you give the Reds a WS I'd happily give up 2 picks, 5 mill, the manager and Boston's manager. Hell of a deal, TBH.

Sounds like Cora is going to get hammered since he was the mastermind.

They had to be quick with this, see the sign from CF camera to monitor behind dugout, then bang a trash can to communicate what the pitch was. All that in about 2-3 seconds.

Even the NCAA strips titles, MLB probably being harsh on the individuals to save face from stripping a title
