I'm as confident in my pronunciation of Aeropostale as Patrice O'Neal was in his spelling of restaurant.

I *think* it's Aero-post-Al, but I've heard it exclusively pronounced Arrow-postul by everyone I've ever met. But they also eat raymen noodles and viyennie sausages so the jury is still out.

No idea where my mind was at on that one. We only own every Disney movie ever made which are pretty much playing at all times when the kids are awake.

More importantly, can you have wine or do you have to make special considerations for certain family members as well?

Dear Family,

As you know Janice has just been released from house arrest for her 2016 crack possession charge, and now is allowed to see her children. I ask that you please refrain from using crack at the table this year out of respect for Janice and her ongoing fight with addiction. All crack shall be used only in the basement bathroom with the vent fan on.

Thank You All

PS instead of turkey this year we're doing "finger foods". we will have tons of viyennie sausages, so please bring appropriate side cars for the viyennie sausages, tia.

Thanksgiving from 1982ish until 1988

- Get to relatives around 8:30 (huge family)
- Macy's parade until noon
- Annual family football game
- 2:00 meal
- Start our plans to workout a big sleepover for the weekend with cousins

Now I couldn't care less to see those same people.

And just got word last night her parents are flying to Florida until mid-December and my immediate family isn't doing anything either, so I'm on the couch from Thursday morning until Sunday night.

I’ve been struggling with whether to share this or not but I have decided to go ahead because it was said directly to me and was not overheard or relayed to me by a third party.

Last weekend I was at Great Clips getting what’s left of my hair cut. My stylist was having trouble with her clippers as they were running out of battery life.

Me: Sounds like your clippers are on their last legs.

Stylist: Yeah, I’ve had nothing but damn Indian men with their thick hair. My clippers are almost dead. I swear if any more of those people come in I’m gonna scream.

This bothered me. I said “those people?”

“You know what I mean.” I wasn’t sure what she meant but it was enough for me that she said it.

Make your own decisions. But I’ll pay more at Hair Cuttery from now on.

I'm not sure someone getting their hair cut at Great Clips should be so judgmental. You're paying $5 for a hair cut, the occasional gashes, unevenness, and casual racism should be expected.

My favorite reply:

I've heard some bad things about Durbin Great Clips. Someones kid got a bad haircut where the guard fell off it something.

The rest are really just thanking him for coming forward.

One time in college, I got a haircut at the Chevy Chase Great Clips and it was so bad that a guy leaned out of the passenger side window of a Chevy Caprice and screamed “Look at that ***!”while pointing at me as I sulked home.

I was walking across the street from the Woodland tennis courts on a nice Spring day when it happened and all of the tennis players turned around with initial disgust, but then were resigned to agree with him.

As for witnesses, I was actually on speakerphone with my parents at the time - telling them how bad the haircut was. They heard the guy scream and thought it was sooo funny. Geez.

I had a stunning Afro at the time and even took a picture to illustrate my desired cut. Instead, the lady gave me like a bob (of ringlets) that went long to short: front to back. It was insane but I didn’t notice because I had my glasses off. She was eating a chicken sandwich and pulling on a Biggie diet the whole time too. Man.

Apparently Willie Taggart never signed a contract to coach at FSU. Just went 2 years on some informal agreement. The article cited another prominent program where a coach was employed with merely a memo of understanding and no actual contract- which ultimately cost him about half of the presumed buyout. That man was obviously, Bill Clyde Gillispie, who could've used the additional money because he lost all he had in a ponzi scheme.

It’s actually $13.

Man, the pink jeep tour was a blast. Pretty crazy the terrain those things can handle.

Rattlesnake sausage pairs well with prickly pear margaritas. Put it above gator in the reptile protein.

Not sure if it was a vortex or the margs, but I felt something out there. Peace, love, happiness.

If you didn't go to Richard at Ashland Barber's you were doing it wrong.

There was a smoke show at Clippers/Chevy Chase Barbers as well that you could go to in a pinch.
This.

I mean, Chevy Chase had *plenty* of hair cutting options back in the day that didn’t involve having to go to Fantastic Great Clips.

I went to a Fantastic Sams on Nicholasville Road as a freshman at UK since. I had only ever been to the same haircut lady as a kid back home.

I didn’t know that you had to pay extra to get your hair dried. I left a disgusted, wet headed mess.

That's not normal. Just like it isn't necessary for your tailor to cup your nads.

-One time when I was living in Burbank I didn't have money for a decent haircut, so I let my hippie pothead neighbor Patty cut my hair in exchange for my VHS copy of "The Net", starring Sandra Bullock. Not one of my better moments. Definitely not one of my better haircuts.

-My daughter is signed up to go to a church youth conference in Gatlinburg in January, and one of the performers backed out, so on Friday they announced that the replacement act would be Kanye and that whole choir thing he's got going on. I don't know what's stranger....the thought of Kanye performing at a conference for church youth groups, or the thought of Kanye on the Gatlinburg strip. Can't wait to see pics of him playing Hillbilly Golf in an air-brushed t-shirt and eating a slice of fudge.

-Thanksgiving leftovers>>>>>Thanksgiving dinner. Turkey sandwich, some Duke's, profit.

-It must kinda suck currently being a Cowboys fan, and it must REALLY suck being a Lions fan, but it still has to be pretty cool knowing that every year, you can count on your team hosting a traditional holiday matchup.

Practice turkey turned out pretty good. 24 hour brine, rub, put it on the kettle until an internal temp of 165. 23lb bird, took about 5.5 hours at around 275. Will do a few things differently Thursday. More charcoal, less pecan wood (smoke). Think the smoke gave it a charred look. Wasn’t burnt, but it looked burnt, and the presentation is about 80% of a good turkey. Probably tent it with tin foil after about an hour.

Those Miami Vice Wave jerseys  definitely gonna have to cop one for my 8 yr old. Those things are beautiful.

Pretty crazy this decade is almost over. That means my 10 year anniversary of reading this thread is basically right now. Think I first came
over here after the John wall UConn game, when everyone was making those John wall memes. I made the one where Tebow had the eye black and instead of John 3:16 it said John Wall. Lmbo. One of my best memes ever.

good kid, M.A.A.D. City is my album of the decade. Not even close for me. Never skip a single track. Congrats to Kendrick Lamar

Century Cat, any way to get of copy of your UNC quiz? Work with a insufferable NC fan that constantly likes to send me articles by windbags that write "the dirtiest coaches in college basketball are" articles and likes to pretend UNC is above reproach. Would love to pass that little tidbit on.

I gotta think you just gave ol' Double Dick another reason to be thankful this holiday season. Nice work.

-I took a really decent frat shag into one of those places off Waller my sophomore year and left with an aggressive Kentucky fade. Maybe a 1 guard high and tight, bangs, no sideburns; had a mild panic attack walking out of there.

-Been watching some CARDS footage to get a feel for Saturday. I just don’t see it, man. If we don’t bully TF out of them I’ll be very disappointed.

Their offense is weird. They are really slow tempo/poss/plays, but live off of big ones & score quite a bit as a result. Granted, ACC defenses are putrid. Still, hard game to get a read on.

I've been a huge critic of not being able to pass, but it would be extry sweet if we were to just pound their *** without throwing a single one.

-Pretty weird rivalry series really...home team hasn't won since '14, and we haven't won at home since '09. Crazy how rarely this game goes as expected.

Ok, credit card guys. Southwest's portal says I have 40,000 points to go toward companion pass. The SW Rapids Rewards Performance Business CC has a 70,000 point bonus if you hit 5K in 3 months. Let's assume I hit 5K the first week of December. Do the points accrue instantly, giving me the companion pass for all of next year, or will the pass only be good for 2019 (which is essentially worthless), or will the points not even be applied until a later date and I won't get it at all? I'm not getting this card unless I'm 100% sure I'll get the companion pass for a decent amount of time. If I don't I'm going with another card.

TIA churners.

Trying to be careful on expectations of what should happen in the UL game. They are pretty good offensively and can have some playmakers. I worry about the Atwell catch and run route over the middle. Fitzpatrick is a tough matchup (when they target him). And there is the obvious fear that a one-dimensional offense becomes even tougher if we get down by a score or two.

Push them around up front on both sides of the ball and hopefully everything else falls into place. UK is the better team- but the -3 ish line makes me think Vegas knows this one will come down to the last series.

Random prop bet- I'll take Sawyer Smith to throw a TD on Saturday. No rhyme or reason why.

TIA churners.

They usually hit at the next statement closing date after you meet the spend...that would be cutting it extremely close. I'd google some specific data points (reddit is actually a great place for churning questions)

When you get the pass, you get it for remainder of year + next year. Ideally though, you want to get it in the first month or two of the year, giving you nearly 2 years of the CP.

I'd wait and get the other Personal Card (there are 2 versions) + Business Card, and then hit your minimum spends as early in 2020 as you can. You'll need to cancel your current personal card if you go that route though under the new rules, I'm pretty sure.
