I haven't really posted anything for a couple of months (due to still getting over Auburn loss), but I have been on this board since 2007, so hopefully the word "troll" doesn't come up.

I felt good about the news I received that I opened an Old Rip Van Winkle (10 year) last night. For those bourbon enthusiasts, you know that those bottles are for special occasions.

Notice how OP has not stated what the “good news is” yet. Maybe it is he finally lost his virginity after 35 years, grats op.

You must read between the lines "Grasshopper". [winking]

I went back and looked at some of OP's posts and a couple of them indicated he's talked to people within the program about past recruits. I don't think he's a troll. If so, it's some serious dedication to the craft.

I still think Florida's got a good shot despite all the buzz saying they're eliminated. They make a helluva lot more sense than Tennessee. I'd rather him go to Tennessee than Florida. But the OP and especially BlueWorldOrder's posts give me a glimmer of hope.

People inside our program don’t talk about recruits. We haven’t had credible insiders with info from the Uk side of things since bcg was coach.

The only time you hear inside info from inside the staff is when they want it out there. Usually from Peavey leaked to Matt Jones.

He may be one of those kids that want to beat Kentucky rather than play for them. I'm sure on those visits to other SEC schools they had negative comments about Kentucky and that his playing time and scoring opportunity's would go down. The smart decisions doesn't always get made.

Always funny listening to these posters acting as if recruiting information is national security and can't be discussed in any context.

I've always believed people inside the program do talk.

However, there's a lot of people who can stake a claim to being inside the program. From managers to sports information staffers to families of boosters...you just never know if the person you're talking to is legitimately in the know or whether it's like a game of telephone and they've gotten diluted info.

I listen to every source because I don't think there's harm in coming to the board with information. But I'm skeptical about 95% of them.

Very well said. And why you shouldn't crucify the messenger .

Thanks for sharing what you’ve heard. I’m still not 100% confident he ends up at UK but you’re not saying that; you feel good about it. So I’d say that puts you in the 75-80% confidence range, which is about where I am.

Unfortunately if you’re not willing to fall on your sword over your info then it’s not worth sharing to a lot of posters on this board. Not me, keep sharing what you hear.

I hate Tennessee much more than Florida. I don’t like UT beating Kentucky for anything so for that alone I’d rather him go to Florida.

Tennessee's fans are irritating (most of the trolls here are UT fans) but they're no threat nationally. They may beat us in Knoxville again, but the odds of them making a deep tourney run is zero.

Florida can be a Final Four team with Blackshear. If we ain't getting him, let UT have him.

KB makes Florida much better than he makes UT for sure. But my Tennessee hate is strong, and even with KB Florida isn’t winning a title.

Let’s hope this Cat didn’t find out he was having his first “Little UK Fan” when he yelled hoorah about good news and burned the 10 year Van Winkle.

I’d not burn any Van Winkle 10 for something like a prized UK recruit - maybe a Natty. The 14 year rye, 15, 20 or 23 year Pappy’s. Those would be for a first kid (I’m past that now, though, so I just crack them all for drinking juice!).

Here’s the way I see it. A couple weeks ago Cal was openly saying he wanted to add another big. Talkin about 4 guard lineups and such if one of our bigs go down. I feel like if he didn’t feel great about adding Blackshear then we’d be hearing more about trying to add a reclass big. He’d be turning over every stone he could to at least come up with a Jorts or Humphrey’s type big he could at least rely on for practice. Since he’s not pursuing those, or at least openly pursuing them, then I think he must feel good about the only big we’ve heard about so far and that’s Blackshear. Just my opinion of course.

Im opening Michter's 20 or Eagle Rare 17 for a national title!

The UT speed of doing things.....Blackshear commits to UT and then Rick puts his name back into consideration and takes another job...you got to know that is how it would happen with those reverted scuzz....

You always focus on the now...thing with most likely reclass big (Dante) he's said it'll be August before he decides what he'll do. So if that is an option, UK will focus on that and they are in touch with Dante. Hope the schools they are up against keep using that negative **** talking as it blew up in their face Draft Night.

Then he’d be a DA.
