I keep reading Hagans can shoot. I really hope so but I think the line is further back too this season. It doesn't bode well but who knows. He does have other parts of his game where he excels....
He proved he could shoot in stretches ( like 8 games stretch where he hit 38% from 3 in SEC play ) he just has to prove he can do it for season . All he needs to do is shoot 30-34 % which is what I suspect he will do as we have tons of other guys who be in the 35-42% range like Maxey , Juzang , Quick , Sestina ( who IMO will lead the team at around 42%) , Brooks and if he plays Allen.

Don't see Cal leaving if he got good news. Would stick around unless KB and his family left as well. Hope you’re correct!
Cal was leaving regardless. It's not just about the draft tomorrow night, there are a ton of festivities today, tonight and tomorrow that he's always a part of.

Plus, Cal was fine with the roster he already had. He said as much.

Lastly, a kid telling Cal he's going to pass on his offer is not going to effect Cal one bit. It's not like he's going to sit in a corner and sob. If KB told him "no", Cal would just shake his hand and wish him well, then go back to whatever he was doing.

Hagans being an excellent FT shooter deserves a little more credit and it’s also why I expect him to improve from deep. Not saying he’s going to be anything special from outside, but a near 80% FT shooter with solid form is only going to improve as he gets more reps over time.

Regardless of the status re: KBlackshear, I will share with you guys how far back this went and why McDaniels stayed home. There are several levels to the whole thing. I will wait for confirmation on KB's college decision.

Dave you no more on KBJ commit than your telling at the present.

“He may visit A&M” is nothing to freak out about. (Not saying you freaked out)

Out of all the schools I’ve heard that are involved, A&M scares me the least.
That report is 100% based on Blackshear’s mindset coming into the UK visit. Nobody has a clue how the actual visit has gone which will likely dictate everything.

I agree. I think if, and that’s a big if in my mind, he visits A&M IS strictly as a courtesy to his former coach. Ain’t no way you are gonna choose them over us. Not a chance. If there is no announcement tonight we expecting tomorrow or mondayish?

I feel like we may be jumping the gun a bit. If he takes a another visit to where ever then that tells me he is going to take look at all of his visits and see where he fits in best. I believe Florida and UT still have a shot.

Why would he go back to a coach who had 4 years to get him ready for the NBA... and didn't?

Doubt anyone has the last name joe.

You're obviously too young to have known about Billy Joe -- a running back who started his pro career as the AFL Rookie of the Year in 1963 with the Denver Broncos, and then started for the Buffalo Bills when they won the AFL Championship in 1965.

I simply feel like, looking at it from KB's point of view, coming to UK provides the maximum level of support for him to get to the next level, as well as up his exposure in a way that no other university can provide. It's really simple, in my opinion. For so many additional reasons, too. BBN is hyped to have him come aboard, without a doubt. C'mon down Mr. Blackshear, let's keep this party rolling along!

Go Big Blue!

Hell no with that 40-0 nonsense . Ain't no way no how so do not put in that camp. Now 37-3, 36-4 is very possible . SEC is way too tough to go 40-0 . We went undefeated in the SEC in 2015 because the conference was a joke . Also going 40-0 isn't a goal anyway . What makes teams the best is learning from a few losses. 1996 and 2012 don't happen without Miss St and Vandy SECT losses. You need a little strife to hone the sword .

I still want 40-0. I’m not unrealistic with it, but Cal wants it and so do I. We’ve had two teams capable of it, and I’d expect one or two more before he leaves that are as well. Not ruling it out just yet.
Count me out . But IMO it don't matter as it will never happen in a major conference . Now Gonzaga might do it one of these days especially with their increased recruiting efforts. Now every class has at least 2 NBA first rounders for them lately . But it won't happen with a team playing in the big leagues . I think UK in 2015 is the closest that any team will get for a long time .

SEC really isn't as tough as people make it out to be next year. Florida/LSU should have a talented starting 5, outside of them maybe Georgia/Auburn scrap together a 'okay' team. Louisville/Michigan State will obviously be the fun ones to watch. Can't sleep on Ohio State. With KB, this team is special

I don't quite understand the UofL hype. Seems misguided to me...
